I need to add (to John's comments) that my "short shopping trip" involved 2 hours of looking for something at Walmart. It was in the flyer, but every staff member that I asked looked at me like I was crazy and said the same thing..."ask someone in housewares" or "that's not my department". If any of them had been listening to the PA system, they would know that there was obviously NOONE in housewares as, "the associate from housewares" was being paged every, oh, minute or so.
I HATE WALMART!
Finally, someone looked at the picture I was showing them and said "I haven't seen those yet, why don't you call on Tuesday and ask for Meg, she's the Manager of housewares, and she will be able to help you.
AAARRRGGGHHH!
So. John tells me that I am in charge of baby updates. Let's move on then to this much more exciting topic!
Today I am 37 weeks and 5 days along. I had my weekly doctor's appointment on Wednesday, and she (Dr. Buie) said "no baby yet, hey?" to which I replied in horror "yet? I'm not ready yet!". I guess baby is still up high, but I think that's normal for second pregnancies, and Grady never did 'drop' (which is probably why he got stuck!). My blood pressure good, baby's heart rate is holding steady at 130 bpm. For those of you who are betting folks, that apparently means it's a boy. We shall see...
I'm feeling pretty good, I get tired easily and have horrible sciatic pain, but that goes with the territory. I'm trying to get everything all organized (I believe John called it "nesting", and he's probably right) and I think I see some light at the end of the tunnel...hoping it's not a train.
Tomorrow we are going to Motoring Munchkins with my friend Christina and her daughter Lauren, hopefully I'll get some action shots to share. We need to find all the indoor action we can get around here, or I think Grady might explode. He's got so much energy, we are hoping that if we can get him out to some of these groups it will help him to burn of some energy/frustration.
As John said yesterday, Grady is beginning to throw 'the tantrums'. He actually turned blue on me the other day while communicating to me that he did NOT want to get into his car seat.
Sometimes I wonder what we have gotten ourselves into...
I can hear our parents laughing maniacally right now...
